Before we do up a quote for you we will visit your property to measure up your deck. This is because we quote using a per metre square rate. Whilst there we will also look at the condition of your deck and advise on the best options for revitalising your deck. We may also notice that some of your deck boards need replacing due to timber rot or splitting.
If you are present for the inspection, we will discuss with you what our observations are, and the maintenance we recommend.
After discussion with you about what your expectations are and your budget, we will then prepare a quote that will be emailed to you.
If you are happy with the quote, you can accept it via clicking the 'accept' button.
After visiting your property and assessing the size and condition of your deck we will then prepare a quote for you. We calculate the cost of the job on a number of factors such as:
- Size of your deck
- The difficulty of the job
- The materials required
- How many coats of oil or paint are required
- If repairs or new fixings are required
- Business admin and on-costs (such as insurances, WorkCover, vehicle expenses, materials and equipment costs, travel and advertising costs)
The average job takes a week to complete. We estimate the time required and note this on each quote so you know what to expect and can make plans around it.
The deck oil will take at least a week to fully cure. During this time it is recommended that you do not use your deck area, to avoid damaging to the new finish.
